Holidays

You have the right to make a financial claim if something went wrong with your holiday.

Our advice is that If you are still on holiday, inform the company or travel agent who booked your holiday about the problem, as soon as possible. Record the time and date, and the name of the person you speak to and their title / employee capacity. Make notes of the nature of the complaint, and also what you are told is going to happen. Take as many photographs as possible if they could support your claim. Make as many clear notes as you can!

Flight Delays

If you are delayed more than 3 hours, under EU rule 261/2004 you are entitled to between £110 and £510 in compensation.  This rule applies where a flight departed a UK/EU airport, regardless of the airline, or where a UK/EU airline landed at a UK/EU airport.  Under the law, EU airports include Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.

Flight Cancellations

If your flight was or is cancelled, your airline must offer you a choice of a refund or an alternative flight, which you can choose to accept or reject.

Your rights are also affected depending on whether the flight is Short-haul, Medium-haul or Long-Haul.

There are many other factors that could influence your possible claim against an airline. Each claim has to be judged on its own merit.
